Thinking by Walter D Wintle, 1905

One of my friends emailed me this very interesting poem. So simple, yet so incredibly true:

Thinking by Walter D Wintle, 1905

If you think you are beaten, you are
If you think you dare not, you don’t,
If you like to win, but you think you can’t
It is almost certain you won’t.

If you think you’ll lose, you’re lost
For out of the world we find,
Success begins with a fellow’s will
It’s all in the state of mind.

If you think you are outclassed, you are
You’ve got to think high to rise,
You’ve got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize.

Life’s battles don’t always go
To the stronger or faster man,
But soon or late the man who wins
Is the man WHO THINKS HE CAN

Tip jar.

"The Internet has taught me this: don’t be afraid of sharing your ideas. Don’t be afraid of engaging others to voice their ideas. And more importantly, don’t presume who is and who is not a creator — because we all are."

Totally agree with what Gary has to say in this video. He hits the right note with his example. It does take time, but if you have a product to offer, and if there’s a user that cares to talk about it, you’ve got to respond. You’ve got to show each and every user, happy or unhappy, how much you value their opinion or feedback. It’s hard work, no doubt, but its the level of engagement that will create fans.
